Magnavox universal remote codes & Programming

In this post, I am sharing Magnavox universal remote codes for TVs, DVD players, and streaming/cable boxes. If you have multiple devices to handle and only one Magnavox remote, whether model MC348 or MC348, it’s great you can control them.

For both models, there are 4-in-1 and 8-in-1 categories, which means that if you have a 4-in-1 remote, the same remote can be programmed to control 4 devices and 8 devices for an 8-in-1.

Find the codes from the list, and then I’ll share the programming procedures. If you can’t find the right code, you can use the automatic code search method; I’ll share it, too.

When the remote indicates that the code is wrong, recheck and try again.

How to switch between the paired devices?

You may have a 4-in-1 or 8-in-1 remote, allowing it to be paired with up to that number of devices. But how do you switch between the devices?

Use the device key at the top of the remote. Let me explain with an example: if you are controlling your TV and want to switch to the audio device, press the AUX key, and it will shift to the audio device.

Hope this guides you in syncing the Magnavox remote to your remote. Please share the issue in the comment box if you have any trouble. We take all the comments into account to better assist our readers.

How to program Colorways universal remote to TV

  • Turn on your TV
  • Press the ‘TV’ device key at the top of the remote
  • The LED light on the remote will blink twice
  • Press and hold the TV button until the LED light turns stable from blinking
  • Then enter the 4-digit Colorways remote codes for your TV brand
  • When you input the digit, the LED blinks each time.
  • While you enter the 4th digit of the code, the LED blinks twice indicating that the code entered was right
  • Press the OK button, and observe the LED light blink three times when the process complete
  • Thats it!

Try with the first code in the list. And if the code won’t program, move with the next code. Ensure the battery on the remote has sufficient charge.

What I love about the Colorways remote is that it is ergonomic in design with good shape so that easily held on hand. One of the doubts that I have is the fresh pieces are now not available in the market and online shopping websites. Thinking that they discontinue the product.

One of the disadvantages that I see with the Colorways is that it does not support the automatic code search method for programming with the devices. If you are searching for remotes with the pairing mode even without the codes, I would suggest GE and Vivitar remotes.

Universal remote codes for Roku TV, Streaming Devices

General Electric (GE) and RCA have always been my go-to choices when looking for a budget-friendly third-party remote. But if you’re wondering whether these universal remotes can work with streaming devices like Roku TV, Stick, or Streaming Box, you’re not alone.

Fortunately, some universal remotes are compatible with Roku devices that have IR receptors. Brands like GE, RCA, Onn, and Philips offer specific codes to program their remotes with Roku, giving you a functional alternative to the original remote.

We all know the Roku built-in smart TVs are out there in the market like Hisense, Onn, Element, Sharp, etc. Almost all of them have IR sensors and remotes with IR connectivity.

Not sure about what branded universal remote you are using, but here sharing the codes for the most popular brands out there in the market. Hope this post will help you.

Sharp Roku TV6001, 6251, 6001
Hitachi Roku TV6171

See the two device keys on the remote like ‘STRM’ and ‘TV’, any one of the keys is required when pairing the remote to the Roku TV device.

For Roku-installed smart TVs, use the TV button, and for the Roku boxes, use the STRM button. rest of the programming procedures are the same.

I will explain the programming process here.

Hold down the setup button until the RED light turns ON. Then press the STRM/TV button based on the type of your streaming TV device.

Then enter the 4-digit remote codes that you noted from the above table.

The RED light will turn off when your entered code is correct. Now, it’s ready to use.

RCA Codes for Roku smart TVs

  • Sharp Roku TV – 13183

See how to apply the code for pairing.

First, press and hold the ‘SAT-CBL-STREAM’ button on your remote until the red light turns on. Then, while holding the ‘STREAMING’ button, enter the first RCA universal remote code for Roku using the number keys. Once you’ve entered the code, the red light will turn off.

If you’ve entered the correct code, the red light will turn back on, confirming that the remote has been successfully programmed.

Without further dew, let’s move to the next brand remote.

ONN remote codes for Roku tv

  • Roku streaming media players – 3525, 2007, 4483
  • Roku TVs – 2491, 3531, 3532

When it comes to the pairing, a little bit of difference is here.

Here in the ONN remote, there is a dedicated PROGRAMMING button. The power button is equipped with an LED bulb.

So, press and hold the PROGRAMMING button until the POWER button lights up.

Then press the device category button in this case TV/STRM. The power button blinks once and remains ON. Next, enter the 4-digit code. The power button turns lighting Off indicating that the code entered is correct.

If it blinks continuously, means there is an error in the code.

Pre-programmed remotes for Roku

If you’re not interested in spending money on the remotes mentioned or don’t want the hassle of pairing them with codes, pre-programmed third-party remotes are available for your Roku TV. The price of the remote would be around $20.

It almost looks like the original remote and has the dedicated keys for the streaming services.

if you have an original IR remote for devices like TVs, DVD players, receivers, soundbars, etc, you can learn this remote from the original one and can use it along with those devices too. You won’t need any code entry method to pair the remote. The remote will have all the same features as of the original remote control.

If you want more remote codes to program for the Roku TV, leave a comment in the box by sharing the remote control brand and the model number.

Get Vivitar universal remote codes with programming guide

We have collected all the Vivitar universal remote codes that can be used to program the different branded TVs. Although the Vivitar-branded remote is not used much by people, thousands still use it for their televisions as a spare and third-party remote because of the product’s quality.

As Vivitar is now owned by Sakar, it scaled back its focus on the production of universal remotes, and there are no significant upgrades on their existing models, but still, some stocks are available in the market, maybe old stock.

It’s a great product that is compatible with so many popular TV brands, but it needs to program with a specific code.

It’s everyone’s fault for keeping the code booklet secure for future reference when the remote got unpaired anyway. If you’re like most people who misplace the code booklet, don’t worry! Here’s a list of codes to help you out.

Automatic scan is available with the model remote, but it’s always better to use the proper code because it can save our time and effort in pairing.

Have you tried the auto-scan feature? Hold down the Power button and the device button (like the TV), then press and hold Play until your TV turns off. It might take a few minutes.

If you need the direct code entry method, keep reading. Note the codes from the above list to keep pairing simple.

How to program the Vivitar universal remote?

  • point the remote to the TV and press the TV button on the remote
  • Hold down the Setup button until the LED at the top lights up
  • Next, enter the 4-digit code for your TV brand
  • The light will flash four times once you’ve entered the correct code.
  • If you make incorrect input, the light will get turned off.
  • Next, aim the remote at the TV and press the power button to test.
  • Test with all other keys on the remote.

That’s all about pairing.

Do the same procedures if you want to pair it for other devices like DVD players, audio devices, set-top boxes, etc. Tested the pairing with the Vivitar URC-713, and 720 models, and working fine.

There is a special gift for the reader that I am going to share the user manual pdf file so that you can keep it on your phone or get a printed copy of it for future usage.

Get it from this link

When I checked the official website, I couldn’t find any upcoming products or existing products under the universal remote category but could get some pieces from other online shopping websites like eBay, Etsy, etc.

Still wonder why they discontinued it, it is because of such a good product it was.

Did these codes work for you and were successfully programmed? If not, let me know in the comments, If not I’ll help you troubleshoot.

Keep updated on your progress within the comment section. I can see some codes won’t work with some branded devices. If you find a little time to post a comment here on what code works for other devices like set-top boxes, other visitors can find your comment useful.
